The
Danger of False Ministers
Jesus told
His first disciples, "Go your way; behold, I send you out as lambs
among wolves" (Luke 10:3, NKJV).And within the
expanding Church, Paul had to warn about false ministers arising with
selfish motives (Acts 20:29, 30), more concerned with their influence among
people than serving the flock of God from a pure heart.
Certainly there
are many wolves in the Church! They appear good to others, but their virtues
are a sham (2 Cor 11:13-15). Underneath their laudable-appearing exterior
lurks a hidden agenda based on self-seeking and pride.
Such is the case
with those who run the so-called GOD Digital and others who have
sought prominence (see below), either by riding on the coat-tails of others
who are genuinely working for Jesus, or who seek their own self-aggrandisement
or self-promotion through similar gospel means. These charlatans are
fleecing the people of God to finance their own personal ambitions. Of
course, it is not apparent to others that their ambitions ARE suspect. They
appear to be taking the gospel to the world, and making a platform for
Jesus. But, in reality, they are making a platform for themselves by using
Jesus' name.
Some people will
thank me for warning them to beware these wolves. Paul warned of certain
individuals in his time who were dangerous to the progress of the Truth
(Alexander in 2 Tim. 4:14, 15), and others who had deserted him (Demas in 2
Tim. 4:10). So, it is biblical to 'name and shame' (1 Tim. 5:20; Rom.
16:17).
Jesus publicly
berated the scribes and Pharisees for their hypocrisy and deceit (Matt. 23).
And He forewarned that the scheming duplicity of false ministers would be
publicly exposed (Luke 12:1-3). Prophets are at work today, just as they
were BC. The Church needs to listen to true prophets for its protection.
They are part of its spiritual structure (Eph. 4:11).
But, despite
this biblical mandate and role of a true prophet, many others will hate me
for trying to protect the Church and its heritage of truth. The majority of
Christians today do not want the pure truths of God. They want adulterated,
more 'palatable' forms of Truth, watered down and compromised for
convenience.
This approach,
while seeming innocuous, is actually extremely subtle and devious. Jude
warned of the enemy within (church leaders who were of corrupt motives and
morals) turning the grace of God into lewdness (Jude 4). The modern version
is much more subtle and 'refined'. The majority of believers don't see it
for what it is, nor recognise how damaging it is to their spirituality.
We place the
following items on this web page, to alert any who will listen. May you
beware the individuals mentioned, and the false teachings they promote.
