The church is in the process of altering its teachings
and modifying its structure, but the ‘builders’ aren't doing a proper job.
They are changing aspects of biblical teaching which give the structure
firmness and substituting those with inferior ‘materials’. They are not
building according to sound biblical principles.
There is no protection against harmful spiritual
‘elements’. In other words, the discipline of obedience to law has been
removed. This is the covering that gives protection: obedience.
One who
turns away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer is an abomination (Prov
28:9).
What is wrong in the WCG is that they have thrown out
basic aspects of Bible truth which they were formerly privy to, in favour of
flimsy ‘grace’ teachings that are devoid of rigidity. While they think they
are doing it all in the name of spiritual ‘progress’, they are unaware of
the mess they are making of things and unaware of how fragile their church
structure now is. A storm could easily topple what they have constructed.
The Basis of Sound Building Practice
Here is the basis of good spiritual building practice:
Unless the Lord
builds the house, they labour in vain who build it... (Ps 127:1).
But the WCG leaders are not listening to the Spirit. They
are listening to men whose favour they are currying for prestige, prominence
and other spurious motives.
Nothing which men build in defiance of the lead of the
Spirit will last. It will all be demolished and swept away in the storm that
is coming.
Sound biblical doctrines provide the sure superstructure
to any spiritual building. But the WCG have cut corners here for the sake of
expedience. The job which we have to do in this regard will prove more
reliable, God reveals.
Previously on 27th April 1997, I was given this similar
dream:
I met our former neighbour. I asked her if she wanted me
to do any work on her house, but she declined my offer. She said that she
needed a length of gutter replacing because it was tatty and worn, but she
said she had not got the replacement bit yet so she told me my services were
not needed. When I had finished talking to her I noticed that another
builder was already at work on the roof, resetting some ridge tiles.
She didn’t really want my services at all. She was just
being ‘diplomatic’, and making up an excuse so that I would go away.
Meaning
The dream conveys how our service to the body is repudiated by the
church. In our meetings with the WCG ministry, we are given excuses and
lies. They don’t want to face the truth which we present, fairly and
squarely. They continue with their own agenda and ignore the prophets God
sends to do proper ‘repairs’.
