Vision of the Big Black
Giant
One Sunday in the spring of 1997, the doorbell rang. My
wife went to the door and an American couple were inquiring if we held
services that they could attend. They were not to know that we had met for
fellowship the previous day. They were only passing through on a business
trip. But God had caused them to stop at our front door and meet us. They
were ‘charismatics’ who follow the lead of the Spirit. They listened to the
‘voice’ of God (unlike so many Sabbatarians whose ‘worship’ is devoid of the
Spirit, who operate solely ‘in the flesh’.)
We invited them in to meet with us. It didn’t matter that
we had met the previous day. They needed spiritual fellowship, so we shared
with them and prayed together. The ‘anointing’ ‘fell’, and we all received
something in the spirit.
Next week they returned. They had been rejuvenated by
their first visit, so they wanted to spend more time with us and share what
God had given them about our ministry.
As we spent time together, the Lord told me to give them
our publication The Mystery of the Invisible and one of our journals
(AA 4-4) which contained an article (superseded
now by a booklet, see footnote) about the Ark of the Covenant which has been
discovered in Jerusalem. They were most interested in this and we showed
them the video of Ron Wyatt's discovery.4
Afterwards, they took us out for a meal. When we
returned, they felt moved that we should again pray together and Mary (not
her true name) again received a vision in the spirit. She saw Helena and me
fighting a large giant. This giant was black and foreboding. It was a real
struggle, but in the end we overcame this big evil 'thing'.
The Meaning of the Vision
The giant represents all the heresies and denominational
prejudices which have gripped the minds of God's people, depriving them of
the light of His truth. Our job is to demolish these strongholds through our
writings so that proper biblical truth and understanding is restored for the
Church in all its quarters. Our task is prophetic, in re-establishing
correct doctrinal foundations which have been eroded over many dark
centuries, and recently also in the WCG.
I don’t seek the commendation of men, but God gives it in
the way He chooses to. We had never met this couple before in our lives.
They had travelled from California to Aylesbury on, ostensibly, a business
trip – which later proved fruitless. The only reason for the trip, it would
seem, was to meet us and convey the visions and other revelations they had
received confirming God’s backing of our work. We were also financially ‘on
the rocks’ at the time. And God spoke to them about this. We had mentioned
nothing to them at all about our finances – or rather, the lack of them!
They gave us a sum of money which covered a debt, and baled us out of what
would have otherwise been fiscal disaster.5
While they were staying in Wales, God again spoke to
‘Mary’ and gave her a scripture which, He pointed out, depicted us. It was
Isaiah 61:1, the same one I had been given a year before, when God spoke to
me as I was praying and told me to witness to the WCG by going to their next
meeting and reading this text out loud in their meeting. You can imagine how
they ‘loved’ that!!
‘Mary’ was also moved to pray in our cellar. When she did, she received
several more visions about things to occur there in the future, including
many healings.

5 God spoke to me to send a set of
four tapes about the coming Tribulation to all the addresses we had of
Worldwiders. We didn’t have the money for this, so we did it using a credit
card. It cost £1,000. When God spoke to the man about giving us money, he

God speaks to His prophets
today just as He spoke to His prophets of old. One very expressive avenue of communication
is via dreams and visions (Num 12:6).
The leadership of the Worldwide Church of God is under God's
condemnation for:
1) defying Him in their spiritual promiscuity,
2) maintaining their spiritual control over the minds of their subjects, and
3) repudiating the words of the prophets He sends to correct and redirect them.
