The Nakedness of the Church
The Worldwide Church of God has thrown off her garments of
righteousness. Instead of preparing for Jesus' imminent coming by putting this clothing
on, she has discarded it!
I dreamed that I was doing
some building work at a person's house. It seemed to be our former home and
yet it wasn't. There were many things about the building that were different
to what we were familiar with. The owner of this house was a woman. There must have been some
structural problems because water was dripping from a ceiling. It was hard
to find out what the real cause of this was, whether condensation, a leaking
pipe, or a roof leak. I put it down to the latter, but it was hard to
pinpoint.
In the next scene, I was
turning up for work in the morning. As I arrived I walked in the door and
the woman was taken aback. She was not expecting me then. She was standing
there before going out. She was dressed seductively. Her dress had a
plunging neckline, revealing too much. It was deliberately seductive. I
ignored her and went to get on with my work.
Not long afterwards, from the
corner of my eye, I saw someone rushing out of the house. Through the window
I caught a glimpse of this woman racing out with nothing on! I tried to see
properly because I couldn't believe it, but there was so much stuff in the
way that I wasn't able to see clearly. She raced out and jumped into her
car, which had been in the driveway when I arrived. It was a posh,
well-maintained, polished sporty soft-top, maroon in colour, with lots of
glittering chrome. (As I arrived, one door was wide open, as if someone was
preparing to go.) She certainly did! But not in the way you would anticipate
of someone whom you would expect to be respectable and well-behaved.
Why God Gives Dreams
This dream depicts the WCG
and my involvement with the church. Dreams from God are often figurative
representations of what God wants us to perceive in the spiritual realm. We
do not have spiritual 'eyes', so God has to convey important spiritual
lessons for us by imagery.
They say a picture is worth a
thousand words. It can often convey so much more than words
alone.
Visionary representations of
this sort, of course, are nothing new to those familiar with the way God
works. The Bible catalogues an array of dreams God gave His servants. From
the time of the young Joseph (Gen 37) whose brothers hated him for repeating
the dreams God gave him, to the dramatic visions John received on Patmos
(Revelation), God has repeatedly spoken in this way to forewarn and predict
for His children's benefit and to bear testimony to the presence of His
invisible guiding hand. He spoke to many prophets in the past through dreams
(Num 12:6; Jer 23:28). And He does so today, to those who are open to
receiving through the Spirit (Acts 2:17).
One surprising feature of
God's activity is that He works in ways the majority least expect. He can
also work through those whom the majority least esteem.
Why? For the same reason He
gave Joseph dreams and not his brothers - to ultimately humble them and
elevate him for his faithfulness toward God.
The Meaning of the Dream
I dreamed that I was
doing some building work at a person's house. It seemed to be our former
home and yet it wasn't. There were many things about the building that were
different to what we were familiar with. The owner of this house was a woman.
The dream depicts my
spiritual involvement and influence in the WCG. Although I am not present
physically, that is immaterial. God still achieves His purpose across
physical boundaries and beyond physical limitations.
The woman represents the WCG.
I used to be a member of this church. In that sense it was my former home,
spiritually speaking. At least, it seemed to be. The truth is, in fact, that
my spiritual allegiance all the while I was a member, was not to the woman
but to God.
God conveyed that the WCG is
now very different to what it was like when I was a member up until 1990.
The dream then goes on to highlight the spiritual significance of this
difference.
There must have been
some structural problems because water was dripping from a ceiling. It was
hard to find out what the real cause of this was, whether condensation, a
leaking pipe, or a roof leak. I put it down to the latter, but it was hard
to pinpoint.
Structurally, the WCG
'building' is very unsound. Those who have messed about with biblical
teachings in the church have created big problems. It is hard to pinpoint
and isolate the doctrinal specifics of these problems, because, true to
satanic form, demonic changes are always a clever devious mixture of truth
and error. But, one thing seems certain, the protective covering of the roof
has been undone in some way, leaving the church unprotected from harmful
spiritual elements.
To those who need blunt
explanations: the WCG is open to the incessant dripping of doctrines of
demons, just as Paul predicted:
Now the Spirit expressly
says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to
seducing spirits and doctrines of demons (1 Tim 4:1, NKJV).
In the next scene, I
was turning up for work in the morning. As I arrived I walked in the door
and the woman was taken aback. She was not expecting me then. She was
standing there before going out. She was dressed seductively. Her dress had
a plunging neckline, revealing too much. It was deliberately seductive. I
ignored her and went to get on with my work.
Many in Worldwide are
surprised at my 'distant' involvement and spiritual influence within the
church. It is not something I engineered. God knows what He is doing, and
when He uses people in His service, He does so effectively.
Although the leaders of the
church have tried to neutralise the spiritual impact of what Midnight
Ministries is doing, they are failing as each week passes. God is doing His
Work and no man can stop it.
The woman's seductiveness is
an allegory for the present WCG approach in its teachings. It has dispensed
with aspects that are not palatable to the majority - some say, in a bid to
draw in more members from outside. Whatever the reasons, God reveals the
spiritual motives underlying their behaviour. They are no more honourable
than Jezebel!
... you allow that woman
Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess [in others words, who claims that
what she teaches is revelation from God, when it is not], to teach and
seduce My servants to commit sexual immorality and eat things sacrificed
to idols (Rev 2:20, NKJV).
The WCG is seducing God's
people to be spiritually immoral and to accept false doctrines ("eat
things sacrificed to idols"). They are causing their members to forge
spiritual relationships with demons (likened to immoral sexual union),
rather than with their true Lover, their Bridegroom, Jesus Christ.
Not long afterwards,
in the corner of my eye, I saw someone rushing out of the house. Through the
window I caught a glimpse of this woman racing out with nothing on! I tried
to see properly because I couldn't believe it, but there was so much stuff
in the way that I wasn't able to see clearly. She raced out and jumped into
her car, which had been in the driveway when I arrived.
The woman's behaviour in the
physical is an allegory of God's view of the WCG in the spiritual. She is
disgusting, lewd, lascivious, and daringly so.
Worldwide has always been
good at advertising its 'wares' to the public. In the past its adverts in Readers'
Digest and other notable publications drew in many responses and The
Plain Truth magazine became a well-known venture. In fact, their
influence was more widespread than many members were even aware. (A previous
dream God gave me illustrated this.) The posh sporty soft-top illustrates
the showy, even lavish set-up which the church maintained, and believed was
an integral part of the way they should operate. They felt they deserved to
'spoil' themselves. It pumped up their ego. They thought that was good.
What would you think of a
woman who wears seductively plunging necklines and who secretly prefers to
go around naked? A pervert? Indeed! And that is what the WCG is in the
spiritual.
GOD IS WARNING YOU THAT THE
WCG IS SPIRITUALLY PERVERSE!!
What He says to the church
now is this:
I gave her time to repent
of her sexual immorality, and she did not repent. Indeed, I will cast her
into a sick-bed and those who commit adultery with her into great
tribulation, unless they repent of their deeds. I will kill her children
with death, and all the churches will know that I am He who searches the
minds and hearts. And I will give to each one of you according to your
works (Rev 2:21-23, NKJV).
Where Are Your Garments?
We are approaching the
imminent return of Jesus to take His Bride to Himself as the spotless Church
He desires. Paul described this:
...[Christ] gave Himself
for her that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of the
water by the Word, that He might present her to Himself a glorious church,
not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy
and without blemish (Eph 5:25-27, NKJV).
However, it is not that the
Worldwide's clothing is spotted and wrinkled. It has discarded it
completely!! That is the picture God paints of this decadent church! It is
naked, and willingly so! That is a measure of the spiritual perversity of
its present condition.
It is not preparing for
Jesus' coming. It is cavorting around, courting catastrophe. Perhaps that is
why the dream depicted her leaving. A church which denies its Maker will end
in spiritual death.
By contrast, the Apocalypse
depicts the end-time faithful Church by these metaphors:
...the marriage of the Lamb
has come and His wife has made herself ready. And to her it was granted to
be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen is the
righteous acts of the saints (Rev 19:7,8, NKJV).
