Meaning
The meaning is two-fold.
1) It depicts the depraved immoral mentality in the
nation. Sexual taboos are thrown away like clothing. A permissive
undercurrent pervades, especially in women's dress and behaviour –
incitement to male lust. It is part of the demonic onslaught against God's
standards of goodness for us. People are becoming accustomed to vile
behaviour. Sexual morality and decency has gone out of the window! The
daughters of Israel have no shame. They don't know how to blush.
Isaiah 3:16-26. The daughters of Zion are haughty and
arrogant. They do seductive things. Therefore God will strike them with a
scab and deprivation. They will be brought down in desolation. They will
mourn and lament.
2) It depicts also, however, a parallel state in the
Church. God often illustrates matters by physical / spiritual parallels.
The dream is a symbolic representation of the spiritual condition in
churches. Spiritually, the Churches of God are no better than such women in
the natural. To whom much is given much is required, and the spiritual
response of these churches is as vile to God as the strippers' behaviour was
to me in this dream. The WCG is especially corrupt. It has thrown off its
clothing as flamboyantly as a stripper, in order to seduce its audience.
When
there is a prophet among you, I, the Lord, make Myself known to him in a
vision; I speak to him in a dream (Numbers 12:6, NKJV).
