WCG: Don't Trust Your Leaders
Part 7
There is a conspiracy in the Worldwide Church of God. If you still
attend WCG, you need to get out! God will now fight this 'beast'. And those who side with the heretics who control this monster will pay
the ultimate price for their folly. Do you want to be humiliated with them?
Perhaps you find it hard to accept that God would
destroy a church. Do you find it equally difficult to grasp that God would
destroy a nation? Yet that is what He did with Israel and Judah. He
scattered them to the four winds because of their intransigence and willful rebellion.
The reason for the catastrophic collapse of those nations
(and don't forget these were the peoples through whom God was working out
His purpose, as He is today through the Church), was that big little word... SIN!
Ezekiel recorded God's lament over the destruction of His
people:
I gave them My statutes, and showed them My judgements,
which, if a man does, he shall live by them. Moreover, I gave them My
Sabbaths, to be a sign between them and Me, that they might know that I am
the Lord who sanctifies them. Yet the house of Israel rebelled against
Me... and they greatly defiled My Sabbaths.... (Ezek 20:11-13, NKJV).
Israel was banished for their stubborn rebellion. A
similar fate awaits the Church in our day. Those are not my words. They are
God's, which is why a great tribulation looms on the horizon. For who really
wants to obey God from the heart today? Where are the believers with a true
apostolic conversion? Are not most Christians as shallow as puddles, only
interested in convenience Christianity and good-time religion?
How many are sincerely sold on obedience to God regardless
of the price?! Who is prepared to lay down their lives as the New Testament
exhorts?
Therefore [because the heart of the people was not
dedicated to obedience toward God] I also gave them up to statutes that
were not good, and judgments by which they could not live (Ezek 20:25,
NKJV).
The same pronouncement is found in the New Testament. It
is part of New Covenant theology:
...the mystery of lawlessness is already at work... with
all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not
receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this
reason, God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe
the lie, that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth
but had pleasure in unrighteousness (2 Thes 2:7,10-12, NKJV).
God allows deception to befall those who don't choose the
right route, but who hanker after self-willed and vain ideas. He will even
arrange for some lying spirits to lie in wait for you, if that is what you
want. He is no respecter of persons. He will give you what you ask for.
With clever and deceptive rhetoric, Joseph Tkach is
blinding the eyes of his followers that the law God gave Israel was not
quite right. So it had to be altered for new covenant theology, he claims.
His inference is that God made a mistake and that the law God gave Israel
was not good and needed modifying.
The arrangers of the New King James Believers' Study
Bible, 1991 version, have more sense than Joseph Tkach and his side-kicks. A
footnote beneath Ezekiel 20:25 says this:
"The law given by God was good and promised life in
exchange for obedience. The statement that God gave "statutes that were
not good" is not a permission for evil, but rather the passing of a
judicial sentence based upon the desires and determination of the people
(Acts 7:42; Rom 1:24,25; 2 Thes 2:11). When Israel refused to renounce
idolatry, God allowed them to be hardened and drawn deeper into its power
and control. When people reject truth and righteousness, God allows the
wicked desires of their hearts to rule them..."
Are the people of God today any different than our
forebears centuries ago? No. Is the judgment of God any different? No. God
is the same today as He was yesterday. He no more tolerates rebellion than
He did in Israel. But heretics misrepresent Him. Liberals make Him out to be
a softie! They have not known Him.
Whoever abides in Him does not sin. Whoever sins has
neither seen Him or known Him (1 Jn 3:6, NKJV).
Joseph Tkach not only sins in his approach to the Word of
God and in his management of the WCG, but he promotes unrighteousness in his
teaching. TKACH IS A HERETIC WHO HAS NOT KNOWN GOD! I trust that you
understand of which spirit he is.
A Conspiracy in the Church!
Just as there was a conspiracy in Israel which led to its
demise, so is there a parallel conspiracy in the Church today:
There is a
conspiracy of her princes [rulers] within her like a roaring lion tearing
its prey; they devour people, take treasures and precious things and make
many widows within her. Her priests do violence to My law and profane My
holy things; they do not distinguish between the holy and the common; they
teach that there is no difference between the unclean and the clean; and
they shut the eyes to the keeping of My Sabbaths, so that I am profaned
among them (Ezek 22:25,26, NIV).
Why do Tkach and his henchmen do this? Here's your answer.
The Master Psychologist reveals:
Her officials within her are like wolves tearing their
prey; they shed blood and kill people to make unjust gain (Ezek 22:27, NIV).
Power and wealth are often inseparable. It is more
expedient to preach teachings that appeal to the majority, even if (so they
think) there is an initial split in the church over the new teachings. In
the long run, they hope, more people will be drawn to Worldwide because of
their less rigid theology.
It is humanistic reasoning. God is not pleased!
Upholding the sanctity of the Sabbath was a central
feature of WCG doctrine for its entire existence. When that was demolished
in 1995 by Tkach senior, there was no reason for God to preserve the church
in its influential state. The main reason for its existence in Christendom
as a beacon for that aspect of 'lost' truth was now gone. Why should He
preserve the WCG any more?
This disregard for the holiness of the seventh day of the
week was a pivotal factor in the collapse of the nation of Judah (Jer
17:19-27). God warned:
But if you do not obey Me to keep the Sabbath day
holy... then I will kindle an unquenchable fire in the gates of Jerusalem
that will consume her fortresses (Jer 17:27, NIV).
WCG mentors no longer teach the sanctity of the Sabbath.
Now that you are "in Christ" you can do what you like!
Rubbish! Clap-trap! Balderdash! Hogwash!
When did faith in Christ ever give licence to sin? NEVER!
Read what Paul says of that in Romans 6:1-2 and 22-23. If you want deception
and death, that's the route for you, but if you want life, keep God's
commandments and have faith in Christ. The two are inseparable parts of one
whole.
The Root of WCG Apostasy
I began part 6 by pointing out that stubbornness is at the
root of the WCG apostasy.
These people come near to Me with their mouth and honour
Me with their lips, but their hearts are far from Me. Their worship of Me
is made up only of rules taught by men [that is the current WCG position].
Therefore once more I will astound these people with wonder upon wonder;
the wisdom of their wise will perish, the intelligence of the intelligent
will vanish (Is 29:13,14, NIV).
That has surely happened in the WCG. The reasoning of
their "think tank" has run amuck.
You turn
things upside down, as if the potter were thought to be like the clay!...
can the pot say of the Potter, "He knows nothing"? (Is 29:16.)
This is the inference of current WCG theology. It is
arrogantly assertive that it knows better than God who gave (they imply) an
imperfect law to Israel.
Woe to the obstinate children... heaping sin upon
sin (Is 30:1, NIV).
These are rebellious people, deceitful children,
children unwilling to listen to the Lord's instruction. They say to
the seers, "See no more visions!" and to the prophets,
"Give us no more visions of what is right! Tell us pleasant things,
prophesy illusions. Leave this way, get off this path, and stop
confronting us with the Holy One of Israel!" (Is 30: 9-11, NIV).
When a prophet declares the truth unequivocally, those who
don't want to hear because they are self-willed reject his message of
warning. All sorts of excuses and rationalisations are invented. People
don't like to be confronted with correction. But the prophet is God's
vehicle of verbal correction. If they don't listen to him, they will reap
another branch of His correction. One which they may feel in their flesh in
some way.
One man I know who resisted God's words through this
ministry is paying the price with a terminal illness. Some have paid with
their lives. God does not mess with His word or with His prophets. What He
gives them to declare, He backs up. Their words don't fall to the ground (1
Sam 3:19).
Serious sins are dealt with seriously.
For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft and stubbornness
is as iniquity and idolatry (1 Sam 15:23, NKJV).
I have tried to alert members of the Worldwide Church of
God to their apostate decline, to the presence of antichrist in their
church, and I have been met with insolence, intransigence and resistance.
"Get lost, matey!" is the message I receive at
the door. "Please, go away!"
Why will you people not just listen and obey? Why must you
struggle the hard way? Why not just admit that you have been duped by a
bunch of shysters and that the church has been taken for ride? Why not then
get out and give proper credit where credit is due? Why be stubborn?
Do you realise that you are treading dangerous ground by
tolerating the enemy within?
...for he who greets him shares in his evil deeds (2 Jn
11, NKJV).
Jesus tells you not to welcome those who despise the truth
and not to give them any credit whatsoever if they deliberately promote
heresy. You should:
...have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of
darkness, but rather expose them (Eph 5:11).
Are you exposing them or just tolerating them? Do you
complacently just pass by at a distance or do you shout aloud a warning for
all to hear? Where are the prophets!? Who is going to stand up and be
counted for truth?
These are the days of vengeance, declares the Lord, and
His arm will fight for Him! (Is 59:16.)
You think God doesn't fight against His people? You're
sorely mistaken!
In His love and in His pity He redeemed them.... but
they rebelled and grieved His Holy Spirit; so He turned Himself against
them as an enemy and He fought against them (Is 63:9,10, NKJV).
If I fight against the evils that you are too timid to
contest, why do you condemn me O Church of God?
Malcolm B Heap, 16 March 1998
