Committing The Unpardonable Sin
Many Christians are in
danger of forfeiting salvation.
All need to take seriously the New Testament warnings.
Many Christians are treading a very dangerous line. It’s as risky as walking
on a tightrope over the
Niagara Falls,
without assistance. They are balancing precariously between life and death!
The way they live, with
their ho-hum approach towards sin, is jeopardising their reward in heaven.
They are not merely risking losing some measure of that reward. They are
jeopardising ALL of it! God will not have anyone live with Him for eternity
who does not have a burning hatred of sin!
As prophets, God speaks to
us about various individuals from time to time. Sometimes what He reveals is
shocking. Would you like to be told that someone whom you loved is not going
to be saved?
I am going to name some
names in this article. If that shocks you, I’m sorry. But this danger is
real, and it sometimes takes a shock to jolt people into reality.
We know God is love and
would want to save all, but the simple truth is that not all can be saved.
Some rebel. Some neglect their calling to the point of no return. Some are
so self-willed, He can’t mould them into His image. There are various
lead-ins to the unpardonable sin, and not all are clearly visible. So, we
need to take a closer look.
The Warnings
Jesus warned of forfeiting
your life (Lk 12:20). Paul predicted a great falling away (2 Thes 2:3), and
gross apostasy (1 Tim 4:1). Peter spoke of agents of Satan preaching gross
heresies that drag MANY into destruction (2 Pet 2:1,2). John warned of
antichrists who pose a huge threat to true believers (1 Jn 2:18). And Jude
wrote about deceiving ministers, inferring that they would lure many to
their doom.
The New Testament is
bristling with warnings about losing out on the reward. What astonishes me
is that so many who profess to be following Christ are both ignorant of
these warnings and uncaring about them. Some even preach that all will be
saved, which is diametrically contrary to all these reminders!
It seems the Church is
asleep, like a lamb sleeping in the arms of a lion, completely unaware of
its precarious position, awaiting inevitable destruction.
All of Jude is a warning
about the dangers of false ministers deceiving and luring people away into
perdition through false teachings. You may not see that in Jude, if you read
it casually. You may only perceive the censure against false ministers, who
are:
...spots in your love
feasts, while they feast with you without fear, serving only themselves.
They are clouds without water, carried about by the winds; late autumn
trees without fruit, twice dead, pulled up by the roots; raging waves of
the sea, foaming up their own shame... (Jude 12,13).
You may not think that the
diatribe against them has a direct connection to people’s fate in being
lost, but it does, otherwise why would he go on to say?:-
On some have
compassion, making a distinction; but others save with fear, pulling
them out of the fire... (Jude 23).
If errors in doctrine were
not important, why would Jude and other NT writers alert us to beware?
False ministers, flattering
people to gain selfish advantage (Jude 16), lure people away from the true
faith (Jude 3) into a substitute faith that is not able to save (Jude 4)
because it denies the fundamentals of truth, which are to counter
ungodliness and sin.
Why would Jesus warn of
deceivers, deluding many (Matt 24:4,5), false prophets doing the same (v
11), of lawlessness abounding (v 12), and only he who endures (by
implication through the falsity, to hold onto the truth) being saved (v 13)?
Why would He make the very strong point to beware of wolves in sheep’s
clothing (Matt 7:15), if these renegades didn’t have any bearing upon the large
numbers of people who will NOT be saved?! Very clearly, they will!
Why, too, did Jesus go on
in that same context to say these strong words?:-
Not everyone who says
to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven... (Matt
7:21).
Clearly, no one should take
lightly what is at stake here. Not all will succeed. Who will enter? Only:
he who does the will of
My Father (Matt 7:21).
Jesus warned of a great
rain coming:
...and the rain
descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that
house; and it fell. And great was its fall (Matt 7:27).
Is your spiritual house
going to stand, or fall?
Last night I was given this
dream:
2nd Dec 2007. M.
The small man pronounces
I was reading the magazine editorial of the local motor club (it
could have been Oxford Motor Club, but the dream didn’t specify). It was
written by ‘Joyce Joyceful’ and was in italics. She wrote about a dream
or vision she had recently had in which she saw a fierce storm
blow up. During this raging storm a small man stood up and pronounced...
And that was where the dream ended.
Meaning:
Not knowing what the name Joyce meant, I looked it up in a book of first
names. It is from the Latin and means sportive, which describes
the people who belong to motor clubs. They like the sportive events.
The small man represents MM. As a ministry we are small, but we have a
leadership function for the Church, to give it proper spiritual
direction. The pronouncement is a parallel of the Midnight Cry in
Matthew 25:6, awakening the Church to its responsibilities before God.
How appropriate that God
should give that dream just before I wrote this article!
There is a fierce storm
coming! Jesus also mentioned it, in passing, in His message to the church in
Philadelphia. He described it as:
...the hour of trial
which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the
earth (Rev 3:10).
Few Christians are aware of
what this world is about to descend into – Great Tribulation! (Mt 24:21, 9.)
Many will fall away during this time of horrors:
And because lawlessness
will abound, the love
[agape] of many will grow cold (Matt
24:12).
This is talking about
believers who have started down the path of Life, but who don’t finish.
Then many will be
offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another (Matt
24:10).
If you think they can be
recovered, think again:
In this the children of
God and the children of the devil are manifest: Whoever does not
practice righteousness is not of God, nor is he who does not love his
brother (1 Jn 3:10). We know that we have passed from death to life,
because we love the brethren. He who does not love his brother abides in
death. Whoever hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no
murderer has eternal life abiding in him (1 Jn 3:14,15).
When Sin Cannot Be Forgiven
There can be no forgiveness
for those who WANT to sin, who wilfully CHOOSE to sin, and who are not under
temptation. Irredeemable people do not exert their wills not to sin. They do
not care. That sin is the unforgivable sin, because you do not want
forgiveness. You just don't care about sin!
If you sin and you are
truly sorry about it, no matter what you have done, you can be forgiven. God
will forgive you. The fact that you seek forgiveness is one proof that you
have not committed the unpardonable sin.
God forgives all manner of
sin, when repented of. Of course, those last two words are the salient ones.
Repentance is evidenced by a radical turn- around in your life. If you pull
out all the stops never to repeat the same mistake again, that's genuine
remorse. But when a person meanders along, with a ho-hum, couldn't-care-less
attitude about sin, and doesn't see the need to turn away from it, that
person is walking on thin ice. They could fall through at any minute with no
hope of rescue!
Jesus warned the Pharisees
about their vile attitude against God. They were committing the unpardonable
sin, because they wanted to run down the pure things of God, call them evil,
and have nothing to do with them! They wilfully chose evil above good when
they saw both sides. They chose to call the Holy Spirit evil, and justify
their evil, calling it good!
Jesus warned them:
Therefore I say to you,
every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against
the Spirit will not be forgiven men. Anyone who speaks a word against
the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him
[isn't that incredible!?]; but whoever speaks against the
Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven him, either in this age or in the
age to come (Matt
12:31,32).
The Holy Spirit conveys the
holy nature of God. When people call that evil and want nothing to do with
it, there is no hope for them, because they choose evil over good. I know a
number of people – brothers with whom we walked side by side to church (Ps
55:14) – who have turned away from the faith and denied God in this way!
It's terribly sad, but you can do nothing for them. They chose their fate.
After they die, they will
weep and ‘gnash their teeth’ (Matt 25:30), as they see what they threw away.
The Slippery Slope To Oblivion
The path towards the
unpardonable sin begins innocuously. Here are some of the ways it begins.
1. Ignoring Truth
Some years ago, when we had
to find printers to produce some booklets, I asked Helena to ‘divine’ over a
list of printers to see which one we should use. Her method of divining is
like that which the apostles used when they needed to decide upon the
replacement disciple for Judas (Acts 1:26). The ‘lot’ fell upon one firm in
Oxford.
They didn’t do all our
work, but they were given several publications to produce. It turned out
that the young lady we dealt with at the firm was a Christian. Initially,
she was friendly and enthusiastic, obviously glad to serve other Christians.
One of the publications to
be printed was The Controversy Concerning Law and Grace. The Director
of the company asked me who wrote the publications. I simply said, “I did.”
With hindsight I could, and perhaps should, have said more, because I
couldn’t have written them without God’s guiding hand.
His rather cool response
gave away his lack of approval of what he must have read. I’m sure that out
of curiosity he had read enough to see that what was written there was more
than you would ever hear taught from a Church of England pulpit! And he
could not fault it.
But, when he knew that I
was the author, it gave him the excuse he wanted to dismiss the truth, and
retain his former concepts or opinions. I am just an ordinary person, like
the dream portrayed – a “small man.”
The firm printed the work,
and did a good job. But the individuals who were Christian didn’t want any
further contact with us; they didn’t want to learn more truth, and didn’t
request any other MM publications. This is one way the road to perdition
begins. It starts when you say, “No thank you, God. I’ve got enough.”
Some while later, I heard
that their printing plant was engulfed by a fire and part of their premises
was seriously burned. They had to relocate elsewhere for a while, causing
considerable inconvenience and expense. There is no blessing to the wicked.
When you turn down further
truth, and refuse to accept more of what God says, you open the door to
God’s enemy in your life. Judgement follows in some form or other. Either
you repent and turn, or you fall away, with no hope of redemption.
By refusing or rejecting
truth you effectively say that you prefer sin to righteousness, for truth
outlines righteousness. If you choose to commit sin wilfully, deliberately,
God cannot forgive you:
For if we sin wilfully
after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer
remains a sacrifice for sins, but a certain fearful expectation of
judgment, and fiery indignation which will devour the adversaries.
Anyone who has rejected Moses' law dies without mercy on the testimony
of two or three witnesses. Of how much worse punishment, do you suppose,
will he be thought worthy who has trampled the Son of God underfoot,
counted the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified a common
thing, and insulted the Spirit of grace? (Heb 10:26-29.)
2. Refusing to be humbled. Pride.
Many of the Pharisees were
classic ‘textbook’ examples of irredeemable people. Their problem was pride.
They thought so much of themselves that it was impossible for them to accept
Jesus. They refused to humble themselves and so be saved. So they weren’t!
The altercations Jesus had
with them include some of the most devastating insults. They reveal the mind
of God to you about hypocrisy. For example, Matthew 23 contains insult upon
insult to those proud and pompous posers. Yet, the insults were true. Jesus
did not lie. God does not lie.
John recorded quite a lot
about the skirmishes which Jesus had with those religious impostors.
After Jesus healed a blind
man, they cast him out of their synagogue because the healed man accepted
Jesus and spoke against the Pharisees’ unbelief. When you study the account
to see all that happened, the pride those men had in their religious
teaching was so great that they couldn’t accept they had got anything wrong,
and because of that they found fault with Jesus rather than with their
doctrine.
Later Jesus said to some of
them:
For judgment I have
come into this world, that those who do not see may see, and that those
who see may be made blind. Then some of the Pharisees who were with Him
heard these words, and said to Him, “Are we blind also?”
Jesus said to them, “If
you were blind, you would have no sin; but now you say, ‘We see.’
Therefore your sin remains.” (Jn 9:39-41.)
Do you perceive what Jesus
was saying? He was telling them that they really did understand what the
truth was, and that Jesus was from God, but they preferred to shut their
minds to the truth and deny it. Their pride was too important to them. They
wouldn’t humble themselves to accept what was right.
How many there are in
churches who have this fault! They wilfully deny truth, to preserve their
position. They don’t want self-abasement. They want self-elevation – the
opposite of Jesus’ way (Phil 2:1-8).
Recently, Mila related a
sad experience in her homeland of Ukraine. While travelling by bus, she met
an Orthodox nun and got talking with her. Mila saw her on several occasions,
and shared the truth about the Sabbath with her. The nun rejected it
outright. She was unwilling to even examine the evidence Mila presented!
She also insisted that it
was wrong to read the Bible in any other language other than Ukrainian and
Hebrew, and chided Mila for reading an English version. The nun reeked of
pride and exclusivism!
The nun rejected everything
Mila offered her! For that, God rejected the nun. When she stubbornly
resisted God’s truth and regarded it as evil, she had sealed her fate. That
was her unpardonable sin.
God resists the proud
but gives grace to the humble. Therefore humble yourselves under the
mighty hand of God that He may exalt you in due time (1 Pet 5:5,6).
3. Laziness and apathy.
Several years ago we tried
to help a man to whom Jesus had appeared in vision. He couldn’t hold down a
full-time job. He was a wastrel and floated from one thing to another. He
had demonic problems and needed deliverance. We tried to help him, but he
was not helpable.
To be delivered, he needed
to exert will power and read Scripture. We offered him MM booklets to start
him on the road to recovery but he refused them. He lacked a love for the
truth.
His lack of self-discipline
allowed demons to sift him and throw him around this way, then that. He
didn’t try to stay on the straight and narrow. He just let himself drift. As
a result, his life was a waste. He will not achieve anything of worth.
He was like the
‘one-talent’ individual whom Jesus mentioned in a parable (Matt 25:18,
24-30) – indolent, not diligent, not single-minded, not what Jesus tells us
to be in His Word.
Why did Jesus appear to him
in vision? To try and jolt him or encourage him to do what He wanted. But
even that had no lasting effect on him. As it was predicted, Jesus would be
treated with contempt (Mk 9:12). With others, that man fulfilled the
prophecy.
It is an unforgivable sin.
Another man once came to
stay with us. He was an older, retired individual. He had time on his hands,
but he spent all his time on himself and for himself. His appreciation of
God’s Word was purely intellectual. The Spirit was absent from his life. He
just wasn’t converted, but of course he thought he was, because he had a
head full of ‘Bible knowledge’.
He would dutifully read the
Bible every day, sitting in his favourite chair, and every time he did this
it would increase his self-deception just a little more. There was no love
in his life – except love for self. Like Laodicea, God wanted to wake him up
to his spiritual poverty, which is why God spoke to us to send him an
invitation.
But it made no difference
what we said, or what we did for him, or what he read in MM literature, his
self-delusion was so great, and his complacency so deep, that he merely
thought there was nothing wrong with him or with his spirituality. Change
was absent in his life – the change towards loving others instead of himself
(Matt 25:31-46).
Spiritual gifts which God
offered him remained unaccepted, and the Spirit of God was shut outside his
life, unappreciated and unused. His sin of self worship was unforgivable. He
will die as spiritually derelict as the day God called him! How tragic.
These things says He
who has the seven Spirits of God and the seven stars: “I know your
works, that you have a name that you are alive, but you are dead...”
(Rev 3:1). “...Therefore if you will not watch, I will come upon you as
a thief, and you will not know what hour I will come upon you” (Rev
3:3).
He didn’t see the time of
God’s visitation to him.
4. Wrong fear and denying Jesus.
For others, fear is their
greatest problem – not acceptable fears, but fear of man, caring what others
think of you. It is a snare. Jesus commanded:
Do not fear little
flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom (Lk
12:32). ...do not be afraid of those who kill the body and after that
have no more that they can do... (12:4).
It’s not easy to overcome,
but you can if you love God. More about how to overcome fear of man is
covered in Facing The Tribulation in Newsletter 41.
Whoever denies Me
before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven (Matt
10:33,37-39).
He who denies Me before
men will be denied before the angels of God (Luke 12:9).
Denial of God is an
unforgivable sin. It must be overcome! Why is it unforgivable? Let John
explain:
Who is a liar but he
who denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist who denies the
Father and the Son (1 Jn 2:22).
Many will not overcome this
fear and thus will receive no pardon. The first category of person listed in
Revelation 21:8 to go into the lake of fire is the cowardly.
5. Love of wealth and physical things.
MM has had an outreach in
Kenya
for several years. Literature has been sent to many people there. But one
thing stands out above all the success in providing the truth – the human
weakness of love for money.
For the love of money
is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the
faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many
sorrows (1 Tim 6:10).
We reported in When
God’s Judgement Falls, Terror At
Midnight,
and Don’t Abuse It Use It! how God took the
lives of several people there after He presented them with truth that they
disdained. These acts of God’s judgement were witnessed by Polycarp Omondi
Ogalo and Alex Odhiambo, who notified me of all that was occurring.
Not long afterwards,
however, they conspired to defraud a brother of money. He offered them
financial help, so that they could be self-sufficient and through their own
efforts provide for their local outreach with MM literature. But that
brother’s generosity was exploited by greed. They sought more, giving me
false accounts of their needs, highly inflated!
God spoke to me one night,
waking me up at 4.26 am, to warn me. I won’t repeat the account here. It is
in Dream Diary Supplement 42, pages 11-12 .
The sin was premeditated,
not merely an act of momentary folly under temptation. They deliberately
conspired, with cold calculation, over a period of weeks, repeating the sin
and compounding it. It was a course they chose, knowing it was wrong, as it
says:
...having their own
conscience seared with a hot iron (1 Tim 4:2).
Take heed and beware of
covetousness, for one’s life does not consist in the abundance of the
things he possesses (Luke 12:15).
This night your soul
will be required of you! (Luke 12:20).
And so it will be! God does
not forgive them.
So is he who lays up
treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God (Luke 12:21).
Alex and Polycarp are not
the only ones who have disqualified themselves in Kenya. Before them there
were Vincent Awidhi and Lukas Ogada. They also wanted money more than truth,
so they fell too. In fact, it is fair to say that all who have handled MM
literature in Kenya have sought money more than pure truth. Perhaps that’s
why God took it there first, before some other nations.
Money and power corrupt.
Don’t seek them!
But if you seek Truth for
righteousness’ sake, God will give you money to spread it (Matt 6:33).
6. Sexual permissiveness.
Sexual sin is manifold in
this world. Perhaps it is the most widespread of abominations because it is
such a strong pull, especially in the young.
The example of the Jewish
nation serves as an illustration of the problem and why it is so serious, as
this comment explains:
Because of the rebellion
and sin of Judah, God with- held the rain, but Judah would not acknowledge
God’s hand in the days of drought. Just as a harlot (zanah, Heb., a
fornicator) covers her wicked ways with self-righteousness, Judah refused to
be “ashamed” (kalam, Heb., also meaning “humiliated”) of her
idolatries, even in the midst of God’s judgment. Sin not only hardens the
heart so that sinning becomes easier, but it produces a contemptuous spirit
within that disdains God and His right to judge. (NKJV Believer’s
Study Bible, footnote on Jeremiah 3:3.)
From the underlined words
you can see why sexual sin can lead to the unpardonable sin.
Jesus’ advice was essential
for overcoming. You have to nip it in the bud, and use radical measure to
stem any illicit desire (Matt 5:27-30).
The warnings in God’s Word
about sexual permissiveness are emphatic. Hence, Paul wrote:
But fornication and all
uncleanness or covetousness, let it not even be named among you, as is
fitting for saints; neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor coarse
jesting, which are not fitting, but rather giving of thanks.
For this you know, that
no fornicator, unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, has
any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God. Let no one deceive you
with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes
upon the sons of disobedience (Eph 5:3-6).
7. The heresy pitfall.
Heresy is designed to lead
you away from God and eventually into the pit of hell. The greatest heresy,
the most powerful deception, is one which most effectively leads you to
oblivion. Do you know what it is?
This subject is covered
more fully in Apostasy In God’s Church! There I mention that a
delusion that causes you to quench the love of God is the greatest
deception. However, the heresy which comes close in second place is highly
potent, too. It is so widespread in the West as to be frightening. It is the
view that the Church will move on higher and higher (physically, not
spiritually), to take more ground, to be bigger and better, and more
successful in converting people, etc.
This triumphalism, with an
emphasis in the physical, is not what Jesus taught. His emphasis was on the
kingdom of heaven, not a kingdom on earth in this age. But it is so
attractive to the human heart. It appeals to so much that is natural in us,
that it’s not surprising that it has taken so much ground.
However, it is setting the
stage for a great falling away! It overlooks a fundamental aspect of the
result of the spread of God’s truths on earth – persecution and death in
martyrdom.
Hidden beneath this
attractive teaching, a sister to the Prosperity Gospel (expounded in A
Message To ‘The
Charismatic Church’), is something that ever so subtly appeals to human
pride. It is carnal. It is a “strong delusion, that they should believe the
lie” (2 Thes 2:11). Why?
...that they all may be
condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in
unrighteousness (2 Thes 2:12).
Heresy has an appeal. There
is a ‘pleasure’ in unrighteousness. It appeals to self-will, pride, vanity,
and associated spiritual weaknesses. And if you choose this way, over truth,
you choose the one who inspired the trap. You say by your choice that evil
is good, and good is evil, and commit the unpardonable sin in so doing –
unless, of course, you wake up and repent of your sin.
Lawlessness abounds in the
Church at this end time. Antinomianism is as rife as triumphalism. These
heresies are designed by Satan to lead you into hell. They are a
devastatingly appealing choice!
8. Following men instead of God.
When we were thrown out of
‘our’ former church – falsely accused and ‘framed’ by a false minister –
several people committed the unpardonable sin by shutting their minds to the
truth. We sent literature which we had written to various church members, to
alert them to the apostasy taking place in front of their eyes, but which
they couldn’t see.
There was a much deeper
problem with some of them. It was not simply that they couldn’t see. They
didn’t want to see. They wouldn’t see. They refused!
That church was rife with
hypocrisy. They feigned openness while they controlled their members and
shut out the Spirit. I have written much on their misdemeanours, enough to
fill several books. Anyone still in the Worldwide Church of God would be
well advised to read the series of 50 articles written under the anointing
of God, addressing the WCG mindset. God gave me this dramatic dream shortly
before He inspired all those articles to be written in early 1998:
22nd January 1998.
Malcolm. Dream of Flying
This was an incredibly vivid dream. I was flying like superman with
my arms stretched out and fists clenched. I had supernatural power
flowing through me and I could go anywhere, do anything!
Meaning: The anointing that came upon me to write the more than 40
articles to help Worldwiders. (From Jan to Mar 1998.)
And:
27th January 1998.
M. Dream of One-Page Articles
In this dream, God showed me that I was to write lots of one page
articles and that these would be very helpful to Worldwiders.
Comment: The dream was fulfilled over subsequent weeks, when an
'anointing' came upon me to write all those articles for WCG.
The benefit of those
articles is yet to be seen (as of writing in December 2007) now nine years
on, but God said they would be helpful, so they will be. Why weren’t they
more helpful before now? Because of the mind control to which members are
subjected. I explain this in the book God Speaks To The WCG. WCG
leaders exert psychological manipulation and very subtle intimidation to
maintain this stronghold over members’ minds. It’s witchcraft! And those who
do it will forfeit eternal life. Jesus warned:
Whoever causes one of
these little ones who believe in Me to sin, it would be better for him
if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were drowned in the
depth of the sea. Woe to the world because of offences! For offences
must come, but woe to that man by whom the offence comes!
If your hand or foot
causes you to sin, cut it off and cast it from you. It is better for you
to enter into life lame or maimed, rather than having two hands or two
feet, to be cast into the everlasting fire (Matt 18:6-8).
Worldwide ministers (and
various others, too) are causing their members to sin because they are
hemming them in, holding them in bondage to men. WCG members do not obey
God. They obey their leaders and are thus held in idolatry and subservience
to men, not to Jesus Christ!
The sin being referred to
by Jesus will keep those sheep out of God’s kingdom. Any unrepented sin will
bar you from entry. Those people are taught that submitting to ‘church
authority’ is right, when it is flagrantly wrong! (Expounded in God’s
Church – Whose Authority?) Instead of obeying and following Jesus, they
are obeying and following their leaders.
Those leaders are the
antichrist in their religion! Men have taken the place of Christ in their
worship.
False ministers!
God first spoke to me in
1989 about false ministers in the WCG, where we were at the time, showing me
two who were false. I will name them as Scripture adjures us (Rom
16:17,18; 1 Cor
5:13; 1 Tim 5:20; 2 Tim
4:14,15), to protect those who will heed.
Leslie McCullough was the
regional director of the UK WCG at the time. He imposed upon me a
restriction of speech, forbidding me to speak about an issue called
geopathic stress with anyone in the WCG. Can you believe it!!? Having one’s
freedom of speech violated by these spiritual thugs!? That’s what he did.
When I asked him during the Feast of Tabernacles in 1990 to rescind this
order against me, he didn’t properly reply. He just looked at me with a
smirk on his face.
I came to him in Jesus’
name, although I didn’t say so, but His Spirit was moving me in what I did.
When I stood before him with my request, he was not merely answering me, he
was answering Jesus. For that impertinence and denial of freedom, insisting
I must be subservient to all he said, he put himself above Christ, just as
Satan did. That was the moment he committed the unpardonable sin.
And all the henchmen,
falsely called ministers, under his influence carried a hefty load of demons
and demonic concepts in their minds as a result!
Paul Suckling (who since
joined a CoG offshoot) and Harry Sullivan conspired against my wife and me.
On the 9th day of the 9th month of 1989 (three nines depict the finality of
God’s judgement) he preached a slanderous ‘sermon’ against us. He violated
Scripture and blasphemed the Holy Spirit. His false accusations I challenged
in a 10-page letter two days after his diatribe, but I never received a
reply to the issues I raised, because he had already charted his course, and
repentance was not on his agenda.
Similarly, Harry Sullivan
blasphemed the Holy Spirit by deliberately falsely accusing us, framing us,
and having us summarily dismissed from fellowship. When he had got us out,
he then polarised WCG members’ minds against us. He called us evil; he said
we were guilty of evil that warranted our disfellowship, when what we were
doing was good, inspired by the Spirit. He committed the unpardonable sin.
And there were other
ministers whom God showed us had violated with impunity His covenant of
grace. Tony Lodge, Andrew Silcox and David Silcox all spoke against us and
against the good that we brought via the Spirit.
Stuart Powell blasphemed
the Spirit when he preached a sermon on spiritual viruses. It was cleverly
calculated to turn members against the truth we brought. It was not just an
attack on our person. It was an assault against the Spirit which moved us.
We had God’s approval. We
had God’s Spirit guiding us in what we said and did, but they all called it
evil and did nothing to be reconciled to us. Here is the reason why:
This is the
condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved
darkness rather than light because their deeds were evil. For everyone
practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his
deeds should be exposed (Jn 3:19,20).
These men in darkness hated
our light. It exposed them as charlatans, so they got rid of us.
The WCG fell apart a few
years after they turned on us. They had unwittingly turned on Jesus! So He
sent them strong delusion in Joseph Tkach, another satanic impostor, who
introduced damnable heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them!
Jude’s description fits
those men down to a ‘T’! Why not stop reading this right now and read what
Jude wrote in his NT letter? They are clouds without water, blown by the
winds of change, twice dead!
Others who opposed us and
who committed the unpardonable sin by so doing – because they called good
evil, and wilfully shut their minds to the truth we brought – were David
Magowan and George Delap, who later left the WCG during its breakup and set
up camp in a Church of God, run on similar authoritarian lines. I later
heard that, after the Spirit left him, he became even more authoritarian,
teaching that only ministers had the Holy Spirit! (This made members even
more psychologically dependent upon them!)
Paul pronounced the fate of
these evil men:
In accordance with your
hardness and impenitent heart you are treasuring up for yourself wrath
in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgement of God
(Rom 2:5).
For it is impossible
for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted the heavenly gift,
and have become partakers of the Holy Spirit, and have tasted the good
word of God and the powers of the age to come, if they fall away, to
renew them again to repentance... (Heb 6:4-6).
9. An evil eye.
Lastly, part of the
slippery slope is an evil eye.
The lamp of the body is
the eye [outlook, intent, approach, motive]. If therefore your eye
is good, your whole body will be full of light. But if your eye is evil,
your whole body will be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is
in you is darkness, how great is that darkness! (Matt 6:22,23.)
The men I mentioned earlier
could not see because they were in darkness. Their motives were evil, based
on self. They included self-elevation, self- promotion, self-aggrandisement,
self-seeking and self-righteousness.
With this wrong foundation,
based on the self motive, Christ was shut outside the door of their lives,
and evil spirits replaced Him. Those spirits brought undesirable traits
which were not dealt with. The infection spread and got worse.
And so it does with
everyone who tolerates sin. Eventually the heart is corrupted, character is
ruined, and spiritual qualities develop that are very hard to overcome. The
progression goes something like this:
Unforgiveness — Resentment
— Bitterness — Malice — Hatred!
Paul admonished:
Let all bitterness,
wrath, anger, clamour, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all
malice (Eph 4:31).
If you don’t, He will put
you away. He cannot live with sin! It is the antithesis of His holy
nature. So:
Pursue peace with all,
and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord; looking carefully
lest anyone fall short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness
springing up cause trouble, and by this many become defiled (Heb
12:14,15).
Taking Stock
Paul, in Hebrews 12:15,
said “look carefully”. Examine your spirit. Don’t just drift through life,
nonchalantly thinking you’re OK in God’s sight. You’ve got to change if you
are to inherit eternal life. Your spirit must be humble. Your life must be
surrendered to Him. You can’t just do your own thing, and retain wrong
attitudes or approaches and think that He will accept you “just as you are.”
He accepts you “just as you
are” at the outset, as you turn to Him in contrition. But, He then gives you
His Spirit so that you can develop His nature within you.
You must use His Spirit,
not abuse it!
The proof of your
conversion is the outflow of your heart. Is it good, or is it evil?
All those ministers whose
names I mentioned had an evil outflow. Their vile motives quenched the
Spirit of love, the Spirit of reconciliation, the Spirit of grace. They
wanted power for themselves, elevation for their egos, and salaries for
their satisfaction.
They didn’t want God. They
didn’t want self- sacrifice. They didn’t want self-abasement. They resisted
all that with fervour! That’s why they resisted us so resolutely. What they
failed to see in their evil pursuit was that they were not just resisting
us, but they were resisting God who ‘sent’ us.
He would forgive them for
insulting me. I am just like any other mortal, with faults and failings, in
need of God’s forgiveness, which I gratefully accept. But when they spoke
against what I brought them – more Truth from His Throne, revealed by His
Spirit – they insulted the One who moved me. For that there is no
forgiveness.
It is the outflow of an
incorrigible heart.
God set up the
circumstances. As Jesus said: when you persist in doing evil, you will not
know the time of His visitation. That was their Waterloo. They fell on the
battleground, with no hope of resurrection.
Don’t let it happen to you.
The time to change is NOW. If you leave it, it will be too late. Repentance
is a now thing, you can’t delay it for convenience.
Therefore, as the Holy
Spirit says: “TODAY, if you will hear His voice, do not harden your
hearts as in the rebellion, in the day of trial in the wilderness, where
your fathers tested Me, tried Me
[tried God’s patience to exasperation!], and saw My works
40 years. Therefore I was angry with that generation, and said, ‘They
always go astray in their heart, and they have not known My ways.’ So I
swore in My wrath they shall not enter My Rest’.” (Heb 3:7-11.)
Beware, brethren, lest
there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the
living God; but exhort one another daily, while it is called today, let
any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin (Heb 3:12,13).
Some Dreams From God
The following are just a
few of the many dreams from God illustrating some of what we have mentioned:
2nd February 1998.
Malcolm. Dream of CoG critics
Several well-dressed, respectable-looking people were sitting at
their desks. They were watching me with a disparaging look although they
said nothing. Their body language gave away what they were thinking.
They clearly didn't think much of me at all! But they had learned the
clever politician's response of not saying anything when cornered – of
staying cool and calm. Their lack of response was a hypocritical sham,
so I ribbed them by saying something that was penetrating and which they
would take as insulting. After that, their 'chief' one – a bigger man
than all the others – started badmouthing me, and accusing me falsely.
Meaning:
The leaders of the split Sabbatarians and Churches of God who will not
communicate with me. They eye me with a combination of suspicion and
disparagement.

Committing spiritual suicide
We were going to send someone a packet of literature, but we found
out that they had committed suicide.
Meaning:
God brought someone here, to learn and accept His truth from us. But
this person turned away from us and away from accepting God’s truth. In
effect they committed suicide. Spiritually, they are lost and cannot be
saved.
Comment:
If you reject truth finally, (even if you accept some of it to begin
with), you forfeit life. The person in question committed the
unpardonable sin by refusing to listen to the Holy Spirit. Instead, he
went his own way, doing what he wanted. The dream shows the ultimate
danger of self-will.
Worship of idols cuts people off from God, so they become blind. If that
blindness persists for too long, God cannot reach them or retrieve them.
God has shown us several individuals in this category who are
irretrievably lost.

Man dies spiritually
I read a personal testimony from someone we know who has had a sad
and unhappy life. We had tried to help him over the years, but because
of pride, selfishness and stubborn self-will, God could not help this
person. Then I received a vision of a grave which was rather large.
Meaning:
God was indicating that this person had committed the unpardonable sin
and was dead now, spiritually. When people refuse to change, and choose
their selfish ways, their end is death. There can be no way back.
8th September 2005.
H. Jim Rector won’t change
I saw a man try to get hold of a young boy, but he refused to be
restrained. He fought and resisted us with all his might. He behaved
like a street thug.
Meaning:
The boy represents Jim Rector who resisted Jesus coming to him through
us. He chose his own self-willed ways, teaching others to follow him
rather than Jesus.
Comment:
Jim Rector has since died. He was self- willed, arrogant, and sought
pre-eminence. I took to him the truths about spiritual gifts, but he
rejected them, accused me falsely to all his ‘congregation’ (on tape),
and blasphemed the Holy Spirit by insinuating that what passes for
spiritual gifts in Pentecostal churches is not of God. In the dream
above, Jesus was the man trying to get hold of Rector. God showed
Rector’s underlying rebellious evil heart. He was not saved.
The State of The Church
Through dreams, God has
revealed the awful spiritual state of the Church.

Tohu and bohu in the Church
In this dream Helena saw people doing all sorts of things. They were
going here, going there; doing this, and doing that. It is hard to put
into words all the activity she saw: there was plenty!
In this hubbub, all these folks were busy going about what they
were doing. Some were on the road travelling, others were on water
traversing the seas. They were all doing their own thing.
There was no unity in it all, no plan, no order. Helena was trying to
bring some order to the situation, but no one was listening. She
couldn't tear them away from what they were doing.

H. House needing cleaning
There was a room which had to be cleaned up. Doors were dirty and
sticky. It needed tidying. The carpet was dirty, and there was a dead
mouse that needed cleaning up. Another mouse was alive, and needed to be
killed.
Meaning:
God at
work in the lives of people He is calling. A physical analogy of what is
going on in the Church and with which our ministry is very much
involved.
13th August 2001. H.
The Church is in a mess!
I was walking through narrow streets of a village full of dwelling
places on top of each other, with rows of beds that you had to walk
across to get from one end to the other. There were many corners that
needed to be sorted out and rubbish that needed to be cleared up. Some
of it was tricky to deal with all the rubbish in detail.
Meaning:
This is the Church situation. It is complex, with a confused mess of
different doctrines, and impossible to bring order into the chaotic
situation.
13th May 2004. M.
The antiquated woman
In this dream there was a fat, overweight woman, living in an old
house. There seemed to be a man living there as well [church leader].
The house needed work doing to it....
14th May 2005. H.
Judgment coming on false Christians
I saw the
hand of God coming in judgement against false Christians. For a while
His hand was withheld, while He gave them a final chance to repent and
change. But they were worshipping a false messiah. After the delay, when
they didn't repent, His hand came down in judgement upon them.
Finally
Sin separates us from God,
unless repented of. Any of the above sins will cause Him to withdraw from
you, and you will be going it alone, without His Spirit.
Fellowship in the Spirit
will be lacking, and so will you. You only belong to Jesus if His Spirit
abides in you (Rom 8:9-11). When He returns and finds you without any of His
Spirit in you, He will disown you:
Assuredly, I say to
you, I do not know you (Matt 25:12).
Paul was acutely aware of
the danger. He said:
...lest, when I have
preached to others, I myself should become disqualified? (1 Cor 9:27.)
Therefore, let him who
thinks he stands take heed lest he fall (1 Cor 10:12).
So, submit to God’s Spirit,
humble yourself and do all He says, and He will be with you. Self-will is an
aspect of an unsurrendered spirit, of a rebellious person who seeks for
himself and will not be saved. It’s your choice which you want.
Now to Him who is able
to keep you from stumbling, and to present you faultless before the
presence of His glory with exceeding joy, to God our Saviour, Who alone
is wise, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and forever
(Jude 24,25).
